Ivory Coast and American Murphy Oil Corporation sign five sharing and production contracts

The Ivory Coast and the American Oil firm American Murphy Oil Corporation signed five sharing and production contracts on June 20th in Abidjan.

The Ivorian Minister of Mines, Oil, and Energy, Mamadou Sangafowa-Coulibaly representing the government of President Alassane Ouattara expressed his great satisfaction with this settlement on the oil blocks CI-102, CI-103, CI-502, CI-531, and CI-709.

“This American Group gives us a lot of hope. We believe in our sedimentary basin which has enabled two major oil discoveries. One in September 2021 and the other in July 2022. This reflects the attractiveness of our sedimentary basin,” said Sangafowa-Coulibaly.

The Ivorian Minister honored every one of the individuals who made it an important matter to advance the Ivorian sedimentary basin.
